Default 53 Flathead MPG

Still just playing with my 53 Flathead..Currently I am using a 1 quart jug for a temporary gas tank. From start to warm up it uses all the gas from that quart jug. Seems excessive to me. Doesn't smell like it is running very rich. Do you think it is using excessive fuel? I don't smell gas on the dipstick..I am not driving the car, just in the driveway..Thoughts? Thanks..Tommy..

Gas tank is now in, so I can get more run time. Thanks for the info. Tommy.
