On a 1946 pickup truck, should lubrication be checked/added in the steering box? If so, what weight?

The only lube I had was GL 4 , I think 85 -90 w. Seems to have lube it up good . PO had grease it it so I cleaned it out well . I don’t think grease was getting into the sector bushing well . Box seems to loosen up good
I think GL4 will be ok
