Default 1935 Front Crossmember Modification

Has anyone modified their front crossmember? I had a custom oil pan made because of the heavy front strap on the main. Is there a way to move the u-bolts? I made mounts to get the motor as high as it can go without hitting the firewall. I've been driving the car for a year now, but I get a little nervous of the space that's there. I have about 3/8 of an inch.
Here we go

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to ......."improve" on old Henry's beautiful piece of machinery.

Do you have the steady rods installed? If so, I would not worry about the engine moving forward.

I am not aware of a way to keep the transverse leaf spring and get rid of the u-bolts.
