Maybe this is old to some but necessity was the mother of invention with me.
I work on a lot of slant windshield A’s and mostly work alone. Got real tired of fighting hinge pins in and out. So I ordered .272 steel from McMaster Carr and made the attached. Tapered the ends so that it would find the centers easily. It works! I’m sure the same thing could be done with the .25 pins Again..maybe to some this is old news |

sometimes having someone just to hold something while you align it, or strike it with a hammer is very handy. Good help, even though not technically inclined goes a long way.
