Default Mecum auction in Anaheim

My neighbors are down there right now, and I was texting them while watching the live webcast. Bidders must have stayed home this time. More cars NOT selling than selling. Also, some of the reserves are just nuts!

Unless it's a 1960-something Corvette, nobody is bidding.

Some interesting cars came up though.

The Chevy woodie with no reserve only got bid up to $13,500 bucks.

A 1930 Model A with a matching trailer went for $32,500

Haven't seen a single stock Model A yet. Do they not auction stock Model A's?? You have to rod it before Mecum will sell it for you or something?

P.S,
I think a lot of folks are getting wise to these stupid "CARNIVAL" car auctions! Bill W.

you dont see intellectual car collectors at Mecum circuses, just people looking for ego-boosting rides to put in their garage.

anyone with a seriously valuable car knows there are better venues to sell it.

As I recall, the Vicky didn't sell, reserve not met. It went to the Bid Goes On area...Very nice car though. They also had an originl 1936 coupe later that night.

I don't know about the price, but it's a historic hot rod( I think they built
a "clone" car?).
