I bought an AA truck which came with no mirrors It does have the "d" nuts at the vizor end on the left side to attach a mirror . On the right side it has two for sure factory "d" nuts halfway up the "a" pillar . The truck is LHD so why does the cab have provision for a mirror on the right side ??? No mention of this in "The Double A,er" but it is "d5" but on the wrong side . I have looked at length through "You Tube" but have not found a similar cab with this feature . If the truck left the factory with two mirrors at different heights I think it would look a little odd so I cant think it did . The "d" nuts still had the 1/2" head bolts in place but they were flat topped not dome headed . These bolts had been in for a long long time and were not keen to unscrew also no "shadow" on the faded original (looks like) paint of where a mirror might have once been . Luckily being in RHD country a mirror on the right side is a must .My theory is that when the cab was being assembled a RHD "a" pillar was installed in error or they ran out of LHD ones .
John still in Suffolk County LOCKED DOWN AGAIN England . |
