Flathead Water Pump

A buddy called me earlier today and his right hand water pump is leaking. The engine is in a Model A and he has no idea what year. I haven’t seen the pump or engine myself so I’m going on what he has told me. He says these numbers are cast into the pump housing 8C 460-1-RK. Does this narrow down what year he has in attempt to order a new pump.
