Default Float a motors

Have recently torn into a damaged engine caused by blown head gasket and other issues. After removing oil pan noticed crank and timing gear quite dry with no apparent residual oil on the gears. Car is equipped with float a motors. Can the donuts on Float A Motors be sagged enough to tip engine back enough to rob last front cavity of valve chamber to be robbed of oil, which would prevent oil from seeping on to crank and timing gear?
