Hey everyone, i just acquired a 1931 Ford model a and am very excited to sail the pavement in this piece of history. Also, im very excited to become part of this online community. I am in Clarkston, Michigan. 40 minutes away from Henry Fords old home in Greenfield Village. The model a will be maintained as stock as possible.

Wow, that is nice, just one thing wrong, your garage...it's to clean.
Whats your address, I'll come over with some of the boys and help you fix that.

Hi Spartan.
Your garage reveals your profession. You are a hospital theatre surgeon.

Congrats Sparta and Humperhill. I too am a newbie to the Model A. Picked mine up last Friday. So far have got about 70 miles on it. Great fun!
Since the engine is new rebuilt, I am trying to break it in. Finding several items that need attention since this restoration sat for several years before I got it. Fuel gauge inoperative. Mixture control keeps vibrating out to way so rich. Hit a big pothole yesterday and thought I broke the front left wheel. Need to take up the play in the steering and so on it goes. I find that anytime I pick up a new to me antique vehicle, I spend at least a month or more attempting to dial the thing in. Seems like the Model A is no exception. Oh, I would be afraid to show my other vehicles in my garage. I can't even put my tools away anymore! Tom L. Last edited by Dirtrack49; 08-01-2019 at 05:45 PM. Reason: add on comment |
