Here's the follow up on my earlier head bolt/oil canister question thread a few weeks ago.
https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...hlight=19fordy Already had the small bolt pattern canister and didn't want to buy the earlier style that bolts to head bolts. Bought 3 new head bolt studs (thanks to Flathead Fever) and installed them one at a time using sealer shown. Studs are $8 each. Then made template to modify small bolt canister to wide bolt pattern and welded on new "ears" using steel washers. Grind smooth, paint and install along with newly fabbed oil lines. Each oil line is soldered together with home made steel coupler for making length correct. Fits fine. No leaks with 30 psi at idle and 45 on highway. Engine uses electric fuel pump, 8BA block with fuel push rod removed and fuel pump push rod hole not plugged. Most tedious part of doing this is making new oil lines and making sure canister bolts remain loose when "catching the threads by hand only" so you don't cross thread the fittings. DON'T BE TEMPTED TO try to catch the threads with a wrench. Of course ,if you already have the old style canister, you are "good to go." Thanks to all Fordbarners who advised me.
