Default Master Cylinder

Well I finally got a new dual master cyl, mounted in my coupe, now I want to hook so that it works as well as it can. My question is the direction of the MC is reversed, front is back. I've always heard that the pressures on the front are different (higher) than the rear. Should I reverse the brake lines to accomodate this or doesn't it matter. My other question is, does any one know the numbers of a flexible brake line with two male ends, one 1/8 np and one either 1/8 np or7/16x20, I can user either.

Most dual MC's have equal diameter front and rear bores and produce equal pressures, provided there is no internal proportioning porting. A few are stepped and will produce different pressures. Some are designed to provide more fluid volume to the front for disc/drum apps. How is your MC designed?

I looked in a NAPA catalog showing 700 hoses and I came up with one possible
but the 1/8" is female. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...511_0412993538

Mike, I don't know what's in the MC, I think it's GM, late 60s. I didn't think of it (stupid me) but I'll call Speedway where I bought it from.

Bob, Ford barn guys are the greatest! I just wondered if someone had a number offhand, I never expected anyone to go through an entire catalog. Thanks a lot!

Use longer hoses on the rear brakes so that you move the rear end/torque tube far enough to R&R the engine or transmission. Bleeding the brakes and getting brake fluid all over everything is no longer an issue.
