On a 40 Ford coupe how hard is to remove the window garnish from the door. I know you pull about 5 screws. But it seems to be attached to the wing window somehow. It seems like you need to pull the door panel but you can't do that until you get the garnish off. Just wanting to chrome the garnish. Any ideas

Pry it out at the top gently. Wing window is part of the garnish

Okay...Trying to be gentle here. So to assume bring the top inward to clear door then pull up? Is that the proper procedure? If I secede at this is removing the wing window from the frame relativity an easy process? No funny rivets etc

Wing window upper hinge is rivited. The lower is a long threaded stud with a spring.
