Newbie here trying to figure out this issue I’m having. I have a 8BA and a 39 transmission. I have the correct bellhousing. The trans mounts to engine with no issues. The problem I’m having is when I push the clutch pedal in the throw out bearing doesn’t contact the pressure plate. Pulled the motor to measure the clutch and pressure plate. It’s a 9 inch clutch. Do I have to run a bigger clutch and pressure plate set up. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This would be answered better either on the EV8 Forum OR over on the HAMB.

A 9" should work fine. There were different throwout-bearing collars but I think V8's used the shortest one so that shouldn't be the problem, check that and the linkage anyway.

Throw out on backwards is that possible , how about fork Upside down .. Doesn't know if that possible . I had that concern as I was building me AV8 ....

So the 9 inch clutch was the problem. I put a 10 inch clutch with the early style 10 spline hub and it worked
