Forgot to get a close up of the panels. They are highly figured fiddle back maple, very pretty.

Very smart looking. I guess I can forgive a person for shunning a '36!

Too many cars, 36,41 and 49 woodies and a brand new 99 silver nsx. Hope to get down to the 41 and nsx. 36 will be for sale at Wavecrest by a poster.

Hey Tex, what happened to the guy that was building the red Woodie? He would post pictures every day and it seems he fell off the face of the earth! He was making great progress but we haven't heard from him in a while, hope everything is ok.

For what it's worth rather than advertise your 36 on a poster you should really load the car into a trailer and bring it to Wavecrest. The event starts on Thursday afternoon and runs thru to Sunday. The event is attended by at least ten thousand people from around the world whose interest is wood bodied station wagons. The vast majority like Ford wagons the best. Where else are you going to get that kind of exposure? There is some serious money at this show. Take advantage of it. Then trailer your 41 back to Texas. See you there! Bill

I was wondering the same thing about the guy with the Merc wagon. I reached out to him in March when I was nearby in Ft. Myers where he lives. Had a phone number left a message but no reply. At the rate he was going that car should be on the road....Bill

In 2010, we drove our '46 Ford, Station Wagon from Long Island, NY to Wavecrest and will never forget it. The entire weekend was all Woodies. It's really great to be with 320 other Woodie owners. I can't wait to do it again!
