They look like German POW's Very few made it home after the war was over

The second picture is rather horrific as the truck has been raked with machine gun fire .The hapless driver ? has been partly run over ,the truck must have been left where it stopped for quite a while . The "dropside" body is the same as English AA trucks ,we did not have the stake bed here . It was set up for easy side board and tailgate removal to be used as a flat bed .
