I have an NOS transmission drum with the casting no. T 706. Can someone tell me exactly what this is. Thanks for any help on this.

Ford placed factory numbers on most forgings or castings, but rarely do the factory numbers match the part assembly number, as usually that factory no. is for a portion of the assembly.
Look at this picture from the Parts and Price Book to determine the drum you have, that said, my guess is its a Part # 3301, Reverse drum,......as the bushing for that drum has factory no. 705, close to what is marked on yours ![]() |

Outside diameter of the gear is 2.29 inches so I guess it may be a low speed instead. Can you confirm as reverse gear is much larger I think?
