Default 1947 PU Front Wheel Studs

Has anybody found a supplier for front wheels studs for the US replacement brake drums that do not require modification to the hub or drum to fit correctly? Hub is inside the drum.

Thanks - Dave

A company known as Dorman has always carried a good variety of wheel studs. Maybe give them a search. Welcome to the Ford Barn!

At work we used Dorman studs too, that was at least 15 years ago, but they probably have the same catalogs online. I tried to check for you, but the site is down right now. One catalog was used to lookup the stud by application but if the stud wasn't listed then they had a second catalog with the studs listed in order by size with a photo of each stud and all of its measurements. Sometimes you got lucky and found one that fit using the measurements. Every year they updated the catalogs in the shop, and I took all the old catalogs home and updated my collection. They are all boxed up in the garage.

If you have new US made drums, I have to assume Bolling Bros? If so, they have the correct Dorman # to use, may have to reem the hole size...I forget, call them up! The originals were sweged on, but you can not do that as the new drum is all cast iron, not a steel center.
