Has anyone seen one of these or know what it is from? I had no idea they even existed until I came across this one in my pile of parts to rebuild a distributor. I thought it was just missing a set of points until I realized there are no provisions to mount another set of points, also note the cam lobe is different. Does anyone know what the story is on this?

possibly for 6 cyl.

I hadn't considered that. Do they have the same housing as the V8?

Yes, 6 cylinder.

Six cylinder , six lobes on distributor cam and a single set of contacts.....

count the lobes--I get 8 on the cruddy plate--anybody else counted them

Yep, looks like the plates are mixed up, count the other one.
