Default Foot start grommet???

Does this go on the inside or outside.

outside. They did have different starter rod grommets for different years and models .

For a NICE look, that part "could" go on the inside of your firewall, it's YOUR CAR, be your OWN MAN---I'd probably put one on the inside & one on the OUTSIDE, for a "finished" look.----(High Points Folks, PLEASE ignore me, thank you!)

Doesn't look like it will fit right hand drive (the big hole in the middle of the firewall).
