They look like 1940's era ford shocks that were made to fit on a 32 ford .

there should be some numbers cast into the shock arms that will help ID them, also a fordbarner in NC rebuilds these style shocks-he advertises in the for sale section

The mounting holes do not appear to be offset and if that is the case then they would not fit '32s.

What i mean, is someone "made them fit" . The arms look like later ford and someone heated and bent them to work on a 32

The shocks have the same bolt pattern and will work for a hot rod but Not Correct for restoration as Mr Rehor stated. The 40 shocks don't even look close to 32 ford. The closest would be the 1931 Mickey Mouse style and slightly shorter .312 . So that also would need to be modified.
This is a set of 1940 shocks on a 1932 roadster

What's the center to center on the mounting holes? Do the arms move, but with resistance...as in, are they usable shocks as is?

I believe they aren't 1940 but later ones with a center 4.437 and the 1932 ford has a center 4 inches . I think yours are 1941 truck big one or so but will check my book tonight

Mike if I didn't have one bent like that I would have to agree with ya. But mine is bent the same way and show no sign of not being factory. I think a big truck with a wider frame rail and big bend to get it back. I haven't found it in my books just yet....
