Someone put a bench seat of some sort in it, it originally had a single rotating bucket.

some of these trucks had the frame altered to let the floor be lower in the front so the driver could in and out better.

Hi Everyone. thunderbirdesq, Wow! Where'd you find that? Were you looking or did it find you?

More pictures please, under the hood or under the front or rear so's we can see a little under the skin. Does it run? Stop? Steer? Overheat? (sorry about that last one)

It's a beauty and bonus it's a very desirable year for any Ford vehicle! Lots and lots of possibilities. Only downside I can see is it will probably be loud inside at highway speed, but I'd live with that in a second.

Edit to add: I found a link to York-Hoover making bodies for the first batch of 70 Bantam/Jeeps. Didn't read it all, but it adds something to your new find. Looks like York County PA, I lived there for a good while in the eighty's.

It doesn't have an engine or trans right now, and the chassis is rotten in the usual places. I have another good chassis I will swap the body over to. I am undecided about what to do for the drivetrain, it's got a later 42-48 4.11 rear under it and as much as I love flatheads I think I may opt for some more powerful running gear to be able to haul parts or maybe even tow a small trailer. But I don't want to make any modifications that can't be easily undone (like carving up the firewall, etc... )
