Default 54 f100 has loose sunvisor bracket arm

Greetings-My 54 F100 sun visor arm, approx 12 inch long, will not stay inserted into its visor bracket which screws to the cab roof. How do I prevent it from falling out of its bracket,as it has done several times. Will glue, or JB Weld, solve the problem? Thanks for your help. Please call me at 1-845-462-4190 or call 845-625-8945. I live in New york State.

You could use some silicone seal as this would let you take it apart again later if needed. Glue and JB weld are a little more permanent.

These are available if you want to get a new one. I see them on eBay all the time, also some used ones in good shape.

Have you pulled the visor bracket off and looked at how it' put together. Maybe brazing a small dot on the arm will prevent it from coming off.

You are aware that the visor arm has a spring on the backside of the bracket that holds tension on the arm?

Since that appears missing, your best bet is to replace it
