Default Help w/ Turn Signal Switch

Do any of you use the United Pacific turn signal switch, Model 5007R? If so, what flasher unit do you use with it and a hookup schematic would be great if available. Note: This is a 12 volt system.

The Turn Signal Switch looks good, mounts easily and is delivered with a nice schematic. I can control all outside lights properly (combination LEDs in rear and Cowl bulbs in front for Turn Signals) with either a 2-pin or 3-pin flasher but have not found the right flasher/hookup to provide both outside light control and power the two in-car indicator lights on the switch itself.

Thanks for your help and advice.
Bob

Not sure about your switch, but some of those switches need to be grounded in order for the indicator bulb (s?) to work. They may or may not have shown that in your schematic. Try holding a wire against the body of your switch to see if that helps. I have found a 3 terminal flasher is usually what you need.

kd4lok, +I have the same switch with both LED and incandescent lights and I use a 3 pole electronic flasher.

One of these because it doesn't depend on the light resistance to heat up the flasher element, and yes, it will flash the light in the switch IF you have the switch grounded.

Thanks for the prompt replies. I have ordered the suggested flasher and will provide an update once it arrives and is installed.

Thank you Rawhidekid for your advice to my turn signal question. I installed the Grote 44890 flasher including a ground to the flasher pigtail and the controller case. All lights are now working properly including the in-car indicators. I am quite pleased with this add-on. Originally, I had only a single brake/tail light in the rear. Now I have turn signals, hazard lights, three tail lights and three stop lights.
