Snyder's latest catalog states they are selling a US made hood shelf for '28-'29s that fits better than the foreign made unit that has caused us no small amount of problems. Has anyone seen these?

I would be leery of any repro parts, US made or even more leery for foreign made items. They might be OK, but you can't go wrong with original Ford parts - they are available. I doubt anyone has used them if they are in the catalog that just came out.

We sent Snyders very nice original hood shelves to copy. He just sent us 20 sets of them. We will try out a pair and see how they work. He spent a lot to make them right, so we will know next week.

Looking forward to the report on these. Someone flattened out the radius under the radiator on one of mine. Have not tried to fix it yet. Rod

Tinbasher,
What you wrote is exactly what I was going to post. I suspect they are 29's, as there were many more 29's made than 28's. Rusty Nelson |
