Misfire under load is common. But this can apply to other parts of the ignition system as well.

The answers to your question can very much fill a large shopping cart.
Is there a specific problem that you're having?

A whistling noise is one symptom. I saw a plug one time where the center blew out of the base.

In a well set up engine, plug problems are rare, if you drive it OFTEN & with "GUSTO" & don't let it sit & idle for HOURS at a time.
As long as it runs well, I NEVER even LOOK at a plug. Some folks DIDDLE too MUCH-- (I mean WITH CARS)--LOL
