I recently bought a trailer made out of a 1928 AA Truck, it has the original worm gear drive rear axle, the original cantilever Springs and original spoked split rims. It also comes with the other 2 original spoked split rims.
This trailer appears to have an original wooden box on it, I have never seen one like this, but it is obvious that it is a ford box and I'm wondering if it is original or an aftermarket add on? It is in pretty decent shape, and I'm going to put it on my 28 AA. If anyone has seen one of these, or knows anything about it please let me know if would be very interested. Thanks.

Nice find.
I'd guess the sides are homemade, but the main thing is you have a nice original steel framework in good shape. About 15 years ago I was at the local Model T swap meet and saw two of these nice original flatbeds for sale. They were only about $200 each, but I didn't have a good place to store them. |
