Default Rumble seat lid

We're restoring a 1930 Cabriolet and having a problem with the fit of the rumble lid. In the process of trying find info about fitting the lid, we found out that someone had installed a 28-29 lid .This is the same lid that was on the car when my Dad bought the car around 1958. Before the lid was cleaned up and primered, the lower edge of the lid was bent in all the way across the bottom at about a 30 – 45 degree angle for the bottom 1 /4 inch. The first photo shows the area that was straightened. The lid will fit the opening in the car but there is no clearance at the upper or lower body panels. The upper panel is original, the lower is a repro.
The second photo shows the same area of a lid I saw on the Ford Barn and the last 1 /4 inch is bent in at a 90 degree angle to the outer surface of lid. Is this someones way of correcting the same problem we're having or is the way ours should look?
Is the Cabriolet lid the same as the lid for a coupe and roadster? If you place flexible tape measure over lid contour from top to bottom, the circumference measures 30 5 /8 to 30 3 /4 inches.
We would like to know how others have corrected this problem.
Thanks

I believe the lower replacement panels do not have the correct curvature. Not sure if 29 and 30 lids the same. Others will chime in I'm sure. Good luck.
