Question Quick question

The trim across the header and across the back that installs over the top material, is it the same for both, the two piece that is similar to the rain gutter?

Which body style?

There is an excellent detailed description of this in the Restoration Guidelines in Area 9 (Top). They have sketches of the different style trims and drip rails with a cross sectional view of each style and guidance on which style goes where.

If you don't own one, buy a copy. It's not just for Fine Point restorations. It's for everyday guys working on everyday cars, too. A wealth of knowledge that helps avoid a lot of frustration.

I see that, yes but either I am blind or am not familiar with the nomenclature because I do not see any front moulding listed for the 55A which thought was the 28-29 Tudor. However, I see listed below it implies any of the above would work. I was just curious what most closely followed original production. The chart specifically spec's the rear, but avoids the front.???

Further down the chart, "Style R2" is a 9/16" wide, two piece Rear molding that is correct for your 55-A. It is also correct for 55-B as well as some other body styles.

The chart in the 1997 revisions appears to have left out the 55-A. However, it is the same configuration as the Coupe 45-A and uses the same molding.

Also, the illustrations have changed. There are more moldings in the 2016 revisions and the numbering of the styles has changed.
Ok, thanks, have not bought the latest revisions yet.
