Interesting fact, Sliders were 5 cents from 1921 until 1945 when the price was doubled to 10 cents.....that's a pretty long run through some very different financial times

I'd say Brent needs to take it in for a rebuild....but I see it still has the engine pan in place.

I assume looking at the apparel this was late '40s, post-World War 2 era...

I have one locally now, if 40 min is considered local. First one on this side of the Mississippi from St Louis. Before it was a trip to StL if you had the craving.
I remember that four of my cousins, Illinois farm boys came home from California back in the 70s, they stopped and bought 110 Belly Bombers before coming on to my mom and dad's house.
Ate Krystals when stationed in Georgia...........they put mustard on their bombers.

Living in Columbus I've done a lot of business with White Castle over the years, they are still HQ'd in the same building they moved into when Billy Ingram moved the company here in 1937, I think it was an old tire factory. They actually have a restaurant in the basement instead of a cafeteria, with really cheap prices.

Doubt it, Henry had good taste and took care of his health.

He might have used sliders as his secret ingredient in gear shift knobs.

So, last year was the 95th year anniversary of White Castle. Did any Model A Clubs converge on their local White Castle? Steak and Shake was established in 1934.
