I'm in a hurry to get this car finished for my dad's 75th birthday party. We are giving him a 1953 Mercury Monterey which he says was his first car. I am almost done but having trouble finding the clips that go along the bottom edge of the door panels. I was told that the old p/n was 2469. Anybody with a hidden stash?
Thanks, RichScorze |

Did you check with LeBaron-Bonney for clips? They have a good variety. Seems to me that those panels would use the standard spring clip.

You might also try : http://www.restorationstuff.com/. They have lots of odd stuff.
Congratulations to your dad on his 75th. What a great present for him. BTW, I'll turn 75 next June; are you available for adoption? Besides early Fords, I'm into DeSoto Adventurers and Hudson Hornets with Twin-H power. Just a thought. ![]() |

Just about any Ford dealer that's been around a while will probably have some in their hardware bins. I always kept a bunch in the drawers that had grease fittings, etc... in them. Take a sample by ad see. Aveco was a major supplier of these and I know NAPA had them.
