Default Who has the FS- 6 volt Ignition?

Are you using suppression spark plug wires? Are you using resistor spark plugs, or non-resistor?

I use 3X plugs with brass conductors on my 6volt FS ignition system. My engine runs super. Why are you concerned about EMI and impedence? The Model A fitted with the FS ignition system is a quantum leap over the conventional point ignition system. I have the FS Zipper distributor which adds to the overall performance of my engine in that it is automatically advancing and retarding under all types of engine loads. This to me makes my Model A fun to drive and eliminates tune ups.

My car wasn't running good, it was popping through the exhaust, when I changed to steel wires and non-resistor plugs, the popping ceased completely. I also read an article on the 97 Stromberg stating that suppression wires are a no no on the 6 volt.

I use non resistor copper cables, no problems at all. The engine starts and runs good.

I was told by two people that copper was the best to use. Did you buy it by the foot? I think you can only get a set of 8, instead of 4.

Yes i purchased them at a local automotive supplier by the foot from a cable drum. They were cheap and are working fine. Plug connectors were sold seperate and are screwed on the cables
