Default 1929 Speedometer Cable Routing

As I am working through the final wiring and instrument hookup of my 1929 coupe I can't figure out where the speedo cable routes and where the clip mounts to. I have an unrestored cabriolet of my grandfathers that I am using as a reference for a lot of things but the cable is being routed out of the electrical junction box and I don't think that is correct.

The cable comes up the inside of the firewall. A small clip holds it in place against the fire wall, then feed it up through the 'tunnel' under the gas tank to the speedo.

If anyone has a picture where that comes in and where the clip goes that would be a huge help. There are too many dang holes in that firewall.
