I've been looking for '38-'41 rear fenders for my '38 half ton pu. I came across some '40 one ton rear fenders listed for sale but I assume these are different from half ton. Am I correct? I couldn't find one ton pu fenders in the Green Bible to compare. He also has a '40 woody rear fender. Would it be worth getting for trading stock? Jim

1/2 to and 3/4-1 ton rear fenders are very different.
1/2 ton fenders are reproduced in fiberglass, 3/4-1 ton are not. Both the 3/4-1 ton and woody fenders fall into the category of parts that are hard to find, and hard to find someone who needs them, so judge accordingly. |

38 to 41 half ton fenders are hard to findo. I have been using 42 to 47 fenders and changing the bottoms at the running boards to fit.

This is exactly what I have recently done. Also had to "insert" the dimple for the spare tire. All easy enough...

These carried the spare in the driver side but it didn't encroach on the fender. Much easyer to find and less green to purchase than 40-41. Martin. |

The wheel opening may be different between the years also.
On my '41, one side is 1" wider than the other. ??????????? |
