Default 39 tudor

I have 2 questions about my 39 tudor.

Deluxe or Standard. Trying to identify what mine is. It has deluxe front sheet metal (no grille) but no clock on glovebox. What else can i look for to determine it.

Will be ordering parts for rebuilding brakes, suspension, steering. Which supplier do you recommend?

Thanks

Tough question, there is not one supplier that is the best for every component! And for some parts there are just not good suppliers and you are better off locating original parts or rebuilding what you have. Welcome to the wonderful world of old cars!!!

If Standard, the hood will have removable side panels and there will be two rods running from the firewall to the radiator.

Thanks for your replies..

I guess a lot of parts are not built to a very good standard now unfortunatley.
If anyone knows of any parts in particular I should avoid due to poor quality id appreciate the heads up.

They are but you may have to wait a year or more with the "Bradley Floor Pan" stuff. Bob Drake is probably out of stock. You would have to contact Drake to find out. Bradley has had numerous complaints about time to complete but not about fit or quality. If you do a search on here you will find the complaints.

Been doing lots of searching and as fas as can tell a 39 standard has the battery box recessed into the pasenger side of the firewall and a 39 deluxe is like the 40 where the battery box is not recessed into the firewall...interesting...maybe?? If thats the case mine is a 39 deluxe.

Of course, fenders can be switched out but, the standard rear fenders only had a tail light on the driver's side.
