![]() The following is a history of my old Model A. We purchased it in October 2014 from Ruth Ann Morford, who was 86 years old at the time. She had owned the car for 76 years. Yes, she had the car when she was 10 years old! She believes she was the second owner. Ruth Ann’s father owned a farm in Middletown, N.J. and wanted her to learn to drive at the age of 10…this of course was 1938. Now that we own Myrt we have fixed the mechanical issues, redid the interior and had the wheels powder coated. As far as the exterior goes we did add some new chrome (Hey what girl doesn’t want jewelry?) but we are thinking there is just too much history that would be removed in order to completely restore the car. We are thinking Myrt is happy just the way she is now. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >> So that is the story but today the family calls and says they found all the original Bill of Sales for the car after the initial sale. I have six New Jersey Bill of sales tracing the car since its second sale in 1933. The original owner is the only one I'm missing but it was apparently traded in to New Jersey Motor Company and then the State of New Jersey required a Bill of Sale each time the car was traded. I can post all six but the post is long already....but go ahead and ask!!! (Do I care if she now turns out not to be the 2nd owner...? No not at all the cool thing is the number is original!!)
