Beautiful weather greeted attendees at the 2017 Barner's Bash sponsored by the Cigar City Flatheads as a group of mostly gray-haired kids renewed acquaintances and shared tall tales. The generally cheerful group that gathered at the Holiday Inn Express in Trinity included attendees from Georgia, Maryland, New York, Maine and Florida for the beginning of three days of donuts, coffee and hot air.
The first day's activities included stops at Keith's garage and his father Al's newly constructed Garage Mahal next door. The next venue was Vic's place where we ordered too much pizza and could not figure out how much each of us owed for the feast. The last stop of the day was interrupted due to this correspondent's choice of chariot, which ended up along the road waiting for it's AAA savior to take it back to Vic's place to diagnose the problem. A minor and expected setback, given the age of the iron and the participants.
