Default 31 Radiator Shell Repair

I just picked up a original 31 radiator shell and the bottom panel like most older parts has two half inch cracks at the bottom. Unlike the 30 shells I see that this shell is actually 2 pieces and the bottom appears to be replaceable.
Question 1 can the bottom be welded?
Question 2 can the bottom be replaced?

Yes some of the 31 shells have a seperate bottom panel. If you look closely it's held with spot welds.
Finding a better panel and having it spot welded sounds ideal.

As for welding cracks, it's tricky and takes a good TIG welder with patience and practice (on an old shell first)
It's soooo easy to blow a hole through the thin material
