Others like the one you list have no prefix, longish number, and usually a suffix for finish...these are standard hardware, just normal bolts and washers and cotters. I believe the same numbers are or were used by multiple car companies. In the early Ford catalogs, the standard parts are in a list at the back where they are described by thread, length, etc. On a '32 Model B distributor...cam B-12210 is held down by a B-12211 screw (oddball threads, special head) washer B-12213 (close fit, smaller OD than hardware store washer) and lock washer 351356-S, a just plain hardware store part. This can be useful information when you need to head to the hardware store, obviously. |
