Default A major difference

Installed the Door bumper kit and the window channel kit, what a difference, no more noises, and the doors close a perfect fit. The car is more of a pleasure to drive.

Yes, and I had the same experience when I installed the new spring kit in my door latches, and greased every moving part. It's sure nice when things work right.

Don't you love it when something simple gains you so much.

Once I got my daily driver mechanically sound, the next few years became a hunt to kill rattles and squeaks one at a time. In fact, the hunt continues.

It may seen a bit tedious, but it is amazing how much more pleasant they are to drive. My wife sure enjoys it more.

1929,
The dealers supply a "D" shaped, hollow, self adhesive weather stripping, in 2 different widths. Put the narrow on around the inside of the door flanges & it makes them SO quiet & keeps out the COLD air! Use the WIDE one on the bottom of the doors. The WIDE one works PERFECT, in the trunk drain channel, to stop RATTLES! NOBODY ever even notices them.

Joe,
I think most dealers sell it, it's REALLY hard to find it in their catalog, BUT IT'S IN THERE! "Maybe" under Restoration Supplies??? I don't have my catalogs handy.

The only place I found it was (perish the thought) Mac's. The part # I bought was A701980HC2 which is the thin stuff that Bill Quiet spoke of. Actually works quite well.

Yes it does. I put the same stuff, also from Mac's, around all four doors of my Town Sedan. I know it wouldn't fly on a "Points car" but works great on a driver. Stops rattles and wind noise.

Barely noticable...

I hope your wife doesn't read this.

BTW, studies have shown that women who put on a few extra pounds live longer than the men who mention it.
