Default Door panel coned pressure spring...

Between the door and door panel there is a coned spring that supplies pressure for the window handle. Which way is the proper way way to assemble or fit the spring...with the large or wide end to the door and the small or narrow end to the door panel OR visa versa?

Thanks.

Pluck

The wide end goes against the door panel. It may even be described as such in Bratton's catalog.

The spring should go between the door metal and door panel, so the small coil pushes against the steel door.
