[/ATTACH]tmp_9725-IMG_20160314_195910162-798409937.jpgGot a replacement door window channel/ felt kit from Bob Drake... Most of it is self explanatory plus some bird doggin on this forum except a couple pieces. There's a roll of foam tape, a felt channel w a strap steel end and neither seems to duplicate what I removed from the car...(which was original equip if I was a bettin man) anyway.. Here's a pic... Chime in with all that knowledge! Thanks

My kit from Drake says that peel and stick felt goes at the top of the window channel for the window to bump (rest) against in the full up position. I am going to glue mine I'm not too fond of the peel and stick adhesive. in

Any ideas on the short channel with the strap steel? It doesn't go in the leading edge, that is a channel abt a cpl feet...just like the one Ford put in... Maybe I'm smarter than the engineers and will not need the extra part? Lol

hmmmmmm, on mine that short piece with the steel piece with the fuzzies had a clip at one end on the back that hooked into a slot in the rear of the door groove, and the steel strap was attached to the top of the door somewhere in the curve, matching the curve, with three very small screws.

I'll give that a shot! Been wrestling the vicious and deadly vent window gasket (no winner yet) and the just as thrilling rear side window seals (-those have been subdued.) Thank you gentlemen! These kits looked so quick and easy just sittin there in the catalog all pretty and new. Sad to say I have been humbled by them.

Passenger door channels/felts were exactly as the kit...i began with the drivers door-hoping to use the pass. Door as a reference...that didn't turn out so good! Ha. Turns out the driver door had an old weld repair to the aft channel bracket and it made the fit pretty hinky. It would bind rolling up and down. After much swearing it's together and all I lack is the pass door felt install and the vent window. I'll prob drag myself out there in a min. and stare at it all mean like- maybe I can get my bluff in! And ...I used some fluorocarbon dry lube to slip the seals in..and a piece of cord to pop the lip on the outside. It'll prob leak like hell and whistle a bit but oh well...I ain't doing this again if at all possible lol

Just a tip. When you intall the fuzzies around the window you will probably need to cut off a little on the ends. Don't cut it off too short. Take the ends to the front edge of the vent window divider (so the divider sits between them). The back end of the vent window rubber will still fit over them.

Thanks for the tip -
new issue is the clips that hold the fuzzies to the door -they performed nice on the driver door - on the passenger door they seem to collapse on install and not spring back - like the heat treat is no bueno and the depth of the bend is wrong... they need more tension... ive bent, rebent, shaved fuzzies in spots - trying to get em to hold better. oval slots in the door seem good to go... the 68 yr old clips that I can save work great - just too few of em...
