Is it only smoking in the back at number four or all along the manifold?
Is the manifold leaking or could there be oil/water from the head gasket burning off? If only at number four, check for droop from the exhaust pipe hanging there, If a leak fix it first. Never done it, but see on the Barn where using sandpaper on a flat surface, you can do it yourself. And yes, a machine shop can do it as well. |

Start by determining what gasket is being used. It is possible the gasket was/is a cheap paper one that has burned thru. With the manifold off, a straight edge will tell you the exhaust manifold straightness however you also need to check for the manifold being drooped at the #3 or #4 port area. I have a fixture that I can straighten a manifold however it is not worth using on a manifold that is worn in other areas too. I concur that a good machine shop can set up to flycut the manifolds.
