I can not install the control rod from the distributor to the steering column because of interference from the engine head nut.
Can this rod be bent slightly to remove the interference? Thank you, |

I think once you get the cowl in place and the column bolted up you will have the clearance.

If the starter switch is a repo it is not properly made and when the floor board is in place you may notice that the push rod is high.
Wait to bend the spark rod until you check the starter switch out. Bob |

Once your collumn is mounted to the body it will be fine.. At that point you can rotate the collumn for a fine clearance adjustment.
Don't bend the rod |
