Is there any truth to the story about Ford actually building the house car in the videos from Wayne Carini?

I have seen the house car. It is somewhere in Connecticut. Perhaps that is what Wayne is talking about. It was built to advertise a lumber yard. It is a tiny house the size of a coupe body, with a turtle deck on the back. A small house type door affords access. I last saw it about 25 years ago at a car show, and took a photo. I had an 8x10 enlargement made to give the guy, but I have not seen it since.
There is also a house Chevrolet in the area, built to advertise a development along the shore. That one shows up frequently. It is also from the 20's. |

Ford sold the bare chassis to build what suited your needs. If Ford had built the house on wheels there would be lots of chatter about it so I am going to say NO, Ford did not build the house only the chassis under it.
