Put a wanted ad in the newsletters of the local Model A and Early V8 Clubs Also hit the swap meets. I assume you are looking for the 1935 Ford wire wheels (or maybe Kelseys). You are not looking for solid wheels are you? Remember that the 16 inch Ford wire wheels or Kelseys go on the mechanical brake drums, if you have hydraulic brakes you will need an adapter. You also need an adapter to run the later solid 16 inch wheels on mechanical brake drums.

I think mine looks lovely on 16"'s, but as always it's a matter of choice, mine were already fitted when I got the car.

My guess (based on Southern California wheels) is if you find a wheel there is about a 20% chance you can paint (powder coat) it and use it without any work. Another 60% can be straightened if you have the right equipment or find someone to do the work. The rest should have been thrown in the trash years ago. Set up something (or find someone that has already done so) and check each wheel hopefully before you buy them (or have the person agree to take them back). Check for both out of round and run out. Good luck.

I stumbled upon Rally America's web site when I was looking for sources for wires for my 29. I didn't use them but they have an interesting web site. They are manufacturers of wire wheels and also refurbish and custom widen original equipment wires. Someone may have some feed back on them. Here's a link if you want to check them out. Tim
