Default Firewall holes: What is original.

Holes numbered 1 through 4. I don't think any of these are factory. Do you agree?

I had the same 3/4 in holes.I was thinking about replacing the firewall, looked it over and what a job to do that. So a friend suggested filling the holes with a gas weld with my amazement it worked. The holes filled in perfectly can't even tell they were there!

You can use washers, and/or electrical box knockouts.

How did you handle welding with the gas tank a few inches away?

The holes were far enough away from the tank. The top hole was about 3-4 in below the tank

You are lucky, I had fifty-three non-stock holes in the firewall/cab of my 31 AA 82B cab. Took a lot of fitting to clean them up. Apparently they ran some hydraulics off a pump mounted to the engine and the lines and wiring went through the cab to the flat deck. Silverlining was that all that leaking hydraulic fluid preserved the original wood quite nicely
