Default intake manifold

Is there a set pattern in tighting intake manifold bolts on a flat head V8 and is there torque spec

I found one from rumbleseat---Alum is 25-30,iron is 35-40 ft lbs.From center out stagger left &right check twice.

35 -40 Ft lbs seems like quite a bit even for cast iron I would have thought 30 tops?
