Default MAFCA's "Tudor" booklet...

Has anyone ordered and received this new book by MAFCA yet?

I can see this being a new venture by MAFCA. I wonder what the next booklet will be about? Coupes? Fordors?.......

I wonder if MARC will come up with something similar?

Thankfully MAFCA is not missing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the club treasury like the Early Ford V-8 Club is.

They can publish neat things like the Tudor book. A couple of years back EFV-8
Club put the cabash to a book that a couple of guys wanted to publish about the '35-'36 Pickups because 'We just don't have the funds now' They didn't realize then I guess, that their funds were being diverted away.

I just saw the book advertised on the MAFCA site. Probably put it on my Christmas wish list.

Jeff; A little more background if you wish to share. I remember about the p/up book being "squashed".

Sounds like another good book for our club's library. I'm sure I'll be buying my own also.

I picked one up at Hershey. It is a compilation of articles and previously published material all about the tudor. It is nice to have all of it together rather than pouring through a few decades of publications. My biggest issue with it is that it really doesn't cover anything for 28-29. The intro talks about how popular it was, how many they built, how the first model A was a tudor then the first chapter is all about 30/31? Where is the 28/29 stuff? Early?

I am sure it was a lot of work and they should be proud that they published it and are trying something new. They have a lot of good content and this is a way to make it available all in one place.

Kind of disappointing, not much if anything new, but it's all in one place! No '28 - '29, nothing!

Lawson Cox and another fellow (name slips my mind right off) put a lot of work and research into putting together a '35-'36 Ford Pickup book, only to be snubbed by the EFV-8 Club in the eleventh hour,,,, they wouldn't help publish the book even though there was a lot of interest. Said they just didn't 'have the money' to help,,,, now we know the 'why'!!

EFV-8 Club's books soon to be audited seems like there was someone (business manager) helping themselves to the pie.
