Default 34 Timmis Roadster

OK Guru's If you are familiar with this car made in Canada by Timmis you know he ran late 8BA flathead and 3 speed with open drive and 49-51 type differential. Now.. does anyone know what kind or size leaf springs it used (parrallel) not the conventional buggy 34.? I know chassis enginnering makes a kit ..but I wondered what Timmiss used. Thanks to the knowledgable.. G Man

Also don't know, but I visited the Timmis factory in about '76 and shot a bunch of color slides. It wouldn't surprise me if they used stock '49 '53 rear leaf springs if they used that rear axle. There were at least six being built and almost finished at that time, and workmanship looked to be exceptional. ..B.

I copied one of his using a Gibbon body. I think he used rear springs from a '49 Ford with a few leaves removed. I used a '46 pu 3.54 rear end. I'll send photos if you like. Joe

Joe, That would be wonderful. I belive I have a Gibbon body on this car...it had the form for the cowl vent and I installed a cowl from a 33 that works just fine. I am working with the body for a good door fit, It seems when I open up the rear jamb with a SPREADER I get a beautiful fit on the lower front of the door. Gordon
