Default T Time ??

Finally after a pretty lengthy rest i got my Model T maintance list done and drove it around some today......

I had a steering issue that required some work , lack of lube seemed to be the problem on lower mount. Engine had picked up a very bad leak from the starter nose cone due to loose screws. Cleaned it up, installed some new screws a dab of rtv and that fixed that issue.
My reverse band needed adjustment as i was having problems with my big feet trying to back up espically up hill . Removed floor , and cover, cleaned up the screen of kevlar material . Bands looked really good. They are kevlar and have been in there for maybe 8-9 years of driving. Now reverse works without getting my shoes caught up with each other.
Washed the car , filled the tank and drove it down the street to a " shrimp boil"
Great day for a ride and some shrimp, crawfish, corn , saugage and potatoes. Might have had a high life or two as well.
Neat thing about a T is most people dont have a clue what it is , especially if its white!!!

Default Re: T Time ??

Another pic.....shows the tach ( on a T you need a tach that has a 2 cylinder setting then it will read double making you think its reved up )
I love the brass extension petals and the dash has a bicycle speedometer mounted on it. These work really well as they have you neasure the diameter of the tire for calibration and are very accurate. Most bike shops sell these and they have memory, top speed, average speed and a reg speed reading going down the road. The sensor glues to the rear brake drum and is read from there .
